Final Kansas wheat tour estimate is for 44.5 bushels per acre
The Kansas wheat tour wrapped up Thursday with a final average yield estimate of 44.5 bushels per acre.
That compares to USDA’s latest estimate of 47 bushels.
Total production in Kansas was pegged at more than 284 million bushels, 22 million bushels below USDA’s estimate and well short of last year’s 338-million-bushel total.
