Soybean cyst nematodes move by floating on soil particles
Missouri soybean growers are urged to determine the extent of soybean cyst nematode in their fields. University of Missouri plant pathologist Kaitlyn Bissonette does Soybean Checkoff-supported research on the parasite and says the cysts themselves are buoyant, attaching themselves to soil particles and moving from place to place by floating.
