Governor will wait on state fair decision

Missouri Governor Mike Parson says he’s reviewing coronavirus data this month before giving his recommendations on how to handle the State Fair this year.

At his COVID-19 briefing Wednesday, Parson said, “Right now, we’ll have a plan A and a plan B to have the fair or maybe a shortened version of it. But, I don’t think there’ s anything in concrete until we get a little closer to the first of June and see where we’re headed in the state.”

The Missouri State Fair Board of directors was meeting today. The State Fair is currently scheduled for August 13th to 23rd in Sedalia, Missouri.
