Arkansas Department of Ag awards conservation grants
Eighteen conservation districts across Arkansas will split more than $300,000 to carry out activities that will help conserve and protect the state’s natural resources.
The Arkansas Department of Agriculture partnered with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service to award the share grant funding.
State Conservationist Mike Sullivan says the proposals funded through this round of grants will provide direct conservation technical assistance to producers, establish demonstration projects highlighting irrigation water management, rotation grazing, and urban gardening. Funds will also be used to support pollinator habitat practices, conservation field days, and conservation education in schools.
