Tennessee crops: 92 percent apples in full bloom
Warmer weather helped farmers make significant planting progress last week. Fifty-four percent of the state’s corn crop has been planted and 26 percent emerged. Fourteen percent of soybeans have been planted. Ninety-eight percent of the winter wheat crop has jointed and 81 percent headed. Sixty-one percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.
Ninety-two percent of apples are in full bloom and 65 percent is rated good to excellent. 60 percent of strawberries are rated good to excellent.
Sixty-seven percent of pastures are rated good to excellent.
100 percent of Topsoil and Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
