There is a risk for severe storms across eastern Iowa, northwest Illinois and far northeast Missouri today. The most likely time frame is noon to 8 p.m., the National Weather Service says.
Large hail, damaging winds, and even a few tornadoes are possible.
Initially, storms will be scattered in nature, but they are expected to form
into a line as they push through Illinois late this afternoon.
Rain on Wednesday will be paired with cool temperatures and strong
north winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts to 40 mph at times, the weather service said.
