Muscatine County on Thursday reported 12 additional positive cases of coronavirus for a total of 252 and one additional death for a total of seven.
In all, 827 tests have been performed in Muscatine and 97 people have recovered,
said Muscatine Mayor Diana Broderson.
Statewide, officials on Thursday reported 176 additional positive cases for total of 3,924. Six more people have died, for a total of 96. There have been 29,262 positive tests and 96 people have recovered.
In her Thursday Facebook message, Broderson urged city residents to help support small businesses.
“We want to make sure that they survive through this crisis,” she said.
She urged resident to order curb side or delivery from restaurants, “like” business Facebook pages, purchase gift cards to use later or give out as gifts, etc.
The City of Muscatine has put together an “Economic Assistance for Small Business” Program which will provide up to $2,500 in forgivable loans to eligible small businesses in Our City.
Details and applications will be out in the next couple of days. Working together is what is going to get us through this crisis.
