As coronavirus cases in Muscatine County and across the state continue to grow, Gov. Kim Reynolds on Tuesday announced the launch of launch of testiowa.com where you can take the assessment to see if you are eligible to be tested for COVID-19.
Muscatine Mayor Diana Broderson said the county experienced 12 additional positive cases on Tuesday for total of 230. In all, 778 tests have been performed. Seventy-seven Muscatine County residents have recovered and four have died.
In Iowa, there were 482 additional positive cases Tuesday for total of 3,641. There have been 27,615 negative tests. Eighty-three people have died and 1,293 have recovered.
“Iowa has now had its highest number of new cases in one day,” Broderson said. “Even though we know this is related to additional testing at long term care facilities and meat packing plants, it doesn’t mean we can dismiss it and let down our safety measures.
“I urge you to stay the course and follow the recommendations as well as urging everyone else in your life to do the same. We don’t want any more loss. Thank you and stay safe.”
