USDA corn, soybean resurvey to start soon

The USDA is set to contact producers in several states later this month who had previously reported unharvested corn and soybean acreage following widespread 2019 harvest delays in the northern U.S. Plains and Upper Midwest.

That includes corn and soybean producers in Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Dakota, along with corn producers in Minnesota and South Dakota.

The USDA says that if the results of the resurvey lead to changes in 2019 production totals, those changes will be reported in the department’s May crop production report.
