Missouri warm and wet in March

The USDA says March was warm and wet across Missouri.

Statewide, precipitation was more than two and a half inches above normal, pushing soil moisture levels higher, and temperatures were almost three degrees warmer than average.

37% of the state’s winter wheat crop is called good to excellent, down 4% from February, with another 53% called fair, up 3%.

The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume April 6th.
