The threat of severe weather around Muscatine appears to have dissipated, but severe storms have moved across parts of eastern Iowa and into Illinois over the past several hours.
A tornado watch remained in effect until 9 p.m., as clusters of thunderstorms continued to produce damaging winds and very large hail, along with the threat of tornadoes that could be significant and have long-tracks.
We're continuing to monitor two separate tornadic storms this evening. It's getting dark and these storms are moving quickly so you may not be able to see it coming. If you are in the path of these storms take shelter! #iawx #ilwx pic.twitter.com/3CgKZZmCsz
