Survey highlights impact of COVID-19 on ag employment

A recent survey by AgCareers.com asked 600 employees and candidates how COVID-19 is impacting their employment.

Seventy-five percent of respondents said there was no change at all. But, 25 percent of employees experienced less hours, layoffs, or dismissal from employment.

About one-third of respondents are now working from home because of COVID-19,

The survey also asked 200 ag employers what steps they’re taking to prepare their workforce. Eighty four percent of employers said their organization could accommodate remote work and 81 percent of employers said they continue to recruit and hire during the pandemic.

AgCareers.com will continue to survey employees, candidates, and employers about the impact of the coronavirus on agriculture.
