Midwest Dairy looking at ripple effects of school closures

Leaders at Midwest Dairy are discussing the implications of national
school closures and children not having access to nutritious meals.

Chairman Allen Merrill, a dairy farmer from South Dakota, says they are looking at community needs.

“We know a lot of the schools are finding ways to serve that meal, but dairy can be a challenge for them if they take it outside the school. So we’re trying to be a resource to help find what they need and what we can do to help.”

CEO Molly Pelzer tells Brownfield Midwest Dairy has found some tools their partners are embracing.
