Muscatine County officials continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation in our community, which continues to evolve hour by hour resulting in confusion for our citizens and customers with regards to our facilities and services.
The health and safety of our community and our staff is of utmost importance. Please follow the guidance from CDC and IDPH as it relates to social distancing. With the assistance of all community members, we can work together to lessen the impact on our citizens and medical facilities.
Effective 4:30 pm on March 19, 2020, the state and county offices located in county buildings are closing to the public until further notice. This includes the Administration Building and the Muscatine County Courthouse, as well as other outlying county offices, including Community Services, Secondary Roads and Zoning.
Muscatine County employees will continue to report to work and provide County services. Many Muscatine County services are available online, by phone, or through mail or email. Some departments may provide the ability to make an appointment for urgent needs. Contact information for all County departments and offices is available on the Muscatine County website at www.co.muscatine.ia.us and phone numbers for all County departments will be posted on the front and back doors of the Administration Building.
State employees will also continue to work and state office numbers will be posted on the Courthouse doors.
