The Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center will be cancelling all children, family, and adult programs until further notice staring Monday (March 16, 2020) according to Pam Collins, Director of the Musser Public Library. The decision follows the guidance provided by the State Library of Iowa.
“We will still be open regular hours and our meeting rooms are still in use,” Collins said. “The library currently remains open for checking out material, providing information, providing access to computers, and other general usage. During our programming hiatus we will do our best to increase and promote content available digitally.”

The Muscatine Art Center does not have plans to cancel programs at this time but have taken extra steps in cleaning.
“We will meet on Monday to make a determination on our programs,” Alexander said.
Other services offered by the City of Muscatine will be evaluated on Monday.
“The most important item for our citizens at this time is prevention,” Kevin Jenison, Communications Manager, said. “Wash your hands, cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze, and stay home if you feel sick.”
The Iowa Department of Public Health has no reports of the Coronavirus 2019 in Muscatine County. A total of 17 cases have been reported in the state through Friday.
