Minnesota sees near normal February weather
The USDA says February temperatures and precipitation in Minnesota were near normal.
There were limited reports of producers harvesting corn with lower moisture levels than last fall, but most of what’s left in the field will probably stay there until spring and the lack of fall 2019 tillage could also delay activity.
Livestock conditions are called good with reports of sheep shearing, lambing, and calving, and hay supplies are generally adequate, with some going to hay auctions and others not needing additional hay.
The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume in April.
