MUSCATINE, Iowa – Janice Kay Ryan, 79, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus.

Janice was born on February 6, 1940, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Robert W. Johnson Jr. and Helen Lucille Gray Solomon.
Those left to honor her memory include her three children, Julie K. Ryan of Dubuque, Shawn P. Ryan of Washington, and Steven F. Ryan of Winfield; six grandchildren, Ryan O’Toole of Tirana, Albania, Erin Ryan and Eric Ryan of Washington, Samantha (Micah) Carroll of Columbus City, Ali (Kyle) Salow of Iowa City and Travis (Abriana) Ryan of Columbus Junction, eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle Johnson of Wilton, and Robert W. Johnson III of Edina, Missouri; and one sister, Peggy Griffith of Crawfordville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James M. Ryan on September 26, 2019; and one sister, Sharon Elaine Johnson.
