The Muscatine City Council recently voted to appoint Muscatine Parks and Rec Director Richard Klimes and Muscatine Fire Chief Jerry Ewers as co-deputy city administrators, effective immediately. City Administrator Gregg Mandsager is out of the office on FMLA leave. Discussion and possible action on ending the Mandsager’s contract has been tabled until the Dec. 5 council meeting.
