Ryan Lukkarinen, a senior at Muscatine High School, completed his Eagle Scout Project on Aug. 2. Ryan planned and directed the construction of a Gaga Pit which was installed at St. Mary & Mathias Catholic School. The Gaga Pit is used to play Gaga Ball, which is a safe, fast-paced form of dodge ball. Ryan’s project required several months of planning and over 140 man hours to complete. Nearly 20 volunteers assisted with its construction. Ryan is a member of BSA Troop 127 chartered by Wesley United Methodist Church.
