A white Halloween

Winter arrived early to Muscatine last week, with the first official snowfall of the season dropping about 1.8 inches on the city Oct. 28 and between four and five inches around the area on Halloween. The prior snowiest Halloween on record was in 1954, with a trace of the white stuff. Temperatures for last week’s trick or treating dipped into the low 30s. Last Halloween, the temperature was 60 degrees.
