“Crusin,'” the 60’s & 70’s Classic rock band, takes the stage for the Second Sunday Summer Concert at 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Crusin’ will perform outside in the parking lot of the Musser Public Library located at 408 East 2nd Street, downtown Muscatine. Audience members are invited to bring their lawn chairs. The concert will be held inside the library if it rains.

Founded by Max Allan Collins, Crusin’ was among the first – if not the first – ’60’s revival bands anywhere. The band was inducted into the lowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of fame in 2018. Led by Collins (keyboard player/lead singer), the current line-up includes drummer Steve Kundel, bassist Brian Van Winkle, and recent addition, Bill Anson, guitarist.

Crusin’ began in 1974, after the original band, “The Daybreakers,” broke up in 1972. Crusin’ performs for county fairs, summer events, the West Liberty Area Arts Council, and class reunions, among many other events in area communities.

Other concerts scheduled by the Muscatine County Arts Council include The Anson Brothers on Sept. 8 and BlueStem Trio, playing the American Songbook on Oct. 13.

More information is available on the Arts Council Facebook page, its website muscatineartscouncil.org, or contact music coordinator, Duffy De France at 5632 607-3213.
