Outdoor warning siren test set for Monday morning

No need for alarm, the City of Muscatine will test its outdoor siren warning system Monday, Aug. 5 at 11 a.m.

The test will be postponed in case of inclement weather.

In a true emergency, the sires are activated county-wide and run for a full three minutes. There is NO all clear signal.

Normally the sirens are tested at 11 a.m. on the first Monday of each month (April-October) unless a severe weather watch or warning is in effect on a scheduled test day.
