The weather is beginning to cool and the city is preparing for Two Weeks of Love. For two weeks after Thanksgiving, businesses and individuals gather together to share combined blessings with those in our area who need assistance. During week one, we ask that non-perishable food items be brought out to the Hawkeye Hauler provided by Tan Tara Transportation. Hy-Vee offers pre-assembled bags of food that will provide staple items that will allow those who are food insecure peace of mind. All donations stay locally at the Salvation Army Food pantry. The radio station will broadcast live from the truck and will be freezing for food. During week two, the community is asked to bring new unwrapped toys to Krieger’s. The Young Professional Network of Muscatine will also work with businesses throughout the community to boost corporate donations.
We look forward to seeing you out there as we continue to build and develop our community for the better.
