The 2016 Muscatine Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk will be held Saturday, November 19 at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course. The event is hosted by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department and the Muscatine Running Club. The format that the race will follow is to predict your time. No participant will be allowed to use any kind of a timing device. Participants will compete against each other for the closest predicted time. This will be recognized as either plus or minus. No splits will be given.
The cross country course will be set up at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course. Races begin at two different times. Participants 14 and under will run a one-mile course that will begin at 10:00 a.m. and those 15 and older will run a three-mile course starting at 10:30 a.m. Awards will be given in each age division for male and female participants who most closely predict their time. Frozen turkeys will be awarded to each of the winners. Only one turkey can be won per family.
The entry fee is $15 for registrations received by Monday, November 7. After that the registration fee increases to $20.00. Registrations are taken up to race time.
