Madison Elementary is working with area organizations to present an event titled “Positive Solutions For Families.” This event is free to the community with an RSVP in advance and takes place April 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Madison Elementary gym.
Madison Elementary is teaming up with the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency (MBAEA) and the Family & Educator Partnership (FEP) to teach “practical ideas to help your child learn how to make the right choice, even when no one is looking.”
Walking tacos and drinks will be provided to those in attendance at 5:30 p.m. At 5:45, the Madison Student Lighthouse Team members will introduce Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is funded by U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) and “supports schools, districts, and states to build systems capacity for implementing a multi-tiered approach to social, emotional and behavior support.”
PBIS also strives to improve social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students. This includes those with disabilities and from underrepresented groups.
This Family Night will take place April 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Madison Elementary Gym. To RSVP, please contact the school as soon as possible with the number of people planning to attend.
