Ann Queta Jackson, age 85, of Wapello, died Saturday afternoon, April 7, 2018, at her home. Ann was born to Audie and Mabel Gee Wood on 2-14-1933 in Tompkinsville, KY. She married Bilbo Jackson from Vernon, AL on 2-14-1952 in Washington County, MS. Four children were born to Ann and Bilbo: Ronald Bilbo & Pam Jackson, Sandy & Ron Phillips, both of Wapello, Trudy Schnell (Deceased), and Regina & Scott Barta of Derby, KS.
Her three children survive her along with a son-in-law, Rich and Jennifer Schnell; eight grandchildren, James & Jenna Phillips, Nick Jackson & Heidi Mayhood, Raegan & Jonny Bieri, Joshua & Paula Jackson, Cody Schnell, Jacob Barta, Casey Schnell, Kaylie Ann Barta; three special grandsons, Pete Rocha, Anthony & Becca Williams and Hagen, and Hunter Hodgell; nine great grandchildren,
Morgan & Kent Savage, Braeden Brossart, Toni Phillips, Kendra Phillips, Jailee Ahlf, Jersie Ahlf, Bianca Ann Jackson, Hemi Bieri, and Yara Jackson; and four great great grandchildren, Nevaeh Savage, Kent Savage III, Konner Savage, and Cohen Hank.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 2 brothers, her husband and daughter, Trudy Schnell.
Ann was a homemaker from where her family was everything to her. She had enjoyed gardening, reading, and fishing. She also had worked at the Wapello Republican and Wapello Fabrications.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Wapello Cemetery with Pastor Dan Doolin officiating.
Memorial gifts will benefit the Great River Hospice, the Wapello Rescue Unit, and the Wapello Community Ambulance Service.
