Following the retirement of Tim Nelson, Executive Vice President and Senior Loan Officer, on June 30, 2017, the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Muscatine has announced the promotion of Wayne Johanson to Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer.
“Tim exemplified for over 26 years exactly what it takes to be an excellent bank loan officer. His integrity, knowledge, interpersonal skills, and dedication to our bank were appreciated by both his clients and fellow employees,” stated Scott Ingstad, President and CEO of First National Bank. “He will be missed by all of us, but we are extremely fortunate to have a person like Wayne on board to pick up where Tim left off. They share so many similar qualities and have worked side by side for over 26 years.”
Johanson joined First National Bank in July 1984 as an Installment Loan Officer. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Lending in December of 1986 and then to Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer in November 1987. In February 2004, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer. “Wayne has provided excellent service to his commercial loan clients as well as dedicated leadership and support for First National Bank employees throughout his entire career,” Ingstad noted.
Nate Meineke has been promoted to Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer. Meineke joined the bank as Assistant Vice President, Personal Banking in 2011, was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Retail Banking/Consumer Lending Manager in 2014, and most recently served as Vice President, Manager of Retail Banking.
“We also are pleased to take this opportunity to promote Nate to our experienced Commercial Loan team, where he will have the chance to work with four outstanding bankers. His promotion serves as another example of our long-time practice of developing a strong team from within our own ranks,” said Ingstad.
