The Musser Public Library held a festival on Friday evening to celebrate bouncing back from the storm that caused the library to close for a week.
The festival included activities for children and adults, as well as drawings for prizes ranging from grocery and gas gift cards to larger prizes such as iPads. Attendees were able to earn a chance to win prizes by visiting a variety of fun stations located around the library.
“Children can still sign up for summer reading if they have not done that yet,” Betty Collins, children’s librarian, explained. “They can earn prizes for reading and help us reach our goal of 500,000 minutes so Julie and I can kiss a frog.”
Over 1700 people attended the festival.
Musser Public Library is located at 304 Iowa Avenue and is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
