Muscatine traveled to Fort Dodge Saturday for the state cross country meet. The girl’s teams qualified by winning their regional meet last Thursday. The Muscatine girls have been ranked in the top 10 all season long and were poised to run fast. The Muskies challenged in the team race and finished in 6th place with a score if 154 pts. Larking Chapman led Muscatine with an 18th place finish, Brina Kraft finished in 19th, While Ragan France, Moriah Morther, and Danielle Roos finished out the Muskie girls day finishing in 26th, 34th, and 57th place respectively. Urbandale took 1st place, while Pleasant Valley took 2nd place, and Bettendorf finished in 3rd.

Muskie Boys Tyler Olsen and Alex Bautista qualified as individuals, Bautista finished in 23rd place with a time of 16:21, Olson finished in 53rd place with a time of 16:47. Dowling Catholic finished 1st, Cedar Falls finished 2nd and Cedar Rapids Prairie took 3rd in the boys team standings.
