Each year, the Muskie booster club has an approximately $100,000 budget to support co-curricular activities in the Muscatine school district, ranging from athletics to arts organizations and school clubs. The booster club kicked off the year as the beneficiaries of over $30,000 dollars from RAGBRAI’s coming to town in July, but the group relies on annual fundraisers like the golf outing to keep the ship rolling.
This year the golf outing will take place on Sunday, September 18 at Geneva Golf and Country Club. “It is just a great way to have some fun and support our local schools,” said Bob Howard of the booster club. Howard and his wife Tawnya, along with Geneva Golf Professional Steve Hutton, are organizing the event.
The outing costs $125.00 and includes eighteen holes of golf, cart, lunch, drink tickets, on-course events, and a Muskie Booster Club tee gift. Groups will tee off at 8:30 a.m. and lunch will follow the round of golf.
