MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) will host a Hospitality Meeting from 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Musser Public Library, 304 Iowa Ave.
The meeting will feature new CVB Director Ky Cochran speaking about what’s happening with the CVB, where the CVB is headed and how the CVB can help the hospitality industry in Muscatine and Muscatine County.
“This meeting is an opportunity for the CVB to share its successes and its future plans. It’s also an opportunity for us to get in closer contact with the entities in Muscatine we are designed to promote to visitors and tourists,” Cochran explained.
“We are very excited about the direction of the CVB,” she added, “and we want to include the hospitality industry in our efforts to the utmost. We also want to hear from them about how we can be a better partner for them. Any chance we have to get more input is a valuable one.”
All are invited to attend the event.

Formerly an independent body overseen by an 18-member board, the CVB transitioned last year to a department within the city of Muscatine. The CVB director now serves under the direction of the City Administrator, in coordination with a seven-member Convention and Visitors Board.
