Construction is underway for the Mulberry Avenue Reconstruction Project. Mulberry Avenue from the intersection of Houser Street to the bypass will be reconstructed. The plans are moving forward as planned. The intersection should be opening up “soon,” City Engineer Jim Edgemond told the Voice of Muscatine. The project will include a three-way-stop intersection at Houser and Mulberry and a three-lane roadway with a center turning lane on Mulberry between Houser and the bypass. There will be sidewalks on both sides of Mulberry.
The entire project should be completed in late October or November.
