Andrew is a senior at Louisa-Muscatine High School. He has been involved with FFA for 3 years. Andrew has worked hard to complete his two Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects. He has worked for the past two years at Bieri Trucking to develop his agricultural mechanic skills working on semi tractors and trailers, tractors, and other agricultural equipment. He has also worked with a local sheep producer to start his own sheep flock and help manage the producer’s flock. Andrew has developed numerous skills through his projects including livestock care and management, livestock nutrition, accounting and record keeping skills, and public speaking skills by education fellow FFA members about his projects. Andrew has competed in the State FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation Career Development Event twice and this past summer he placed 8th individually and was the top individual in plant, tools, disease, weeds, and pest identification in the State FFA Nursery-Landscape Career Development Event. He led his team to a 2nd place finish in the state and is eager to compete again this year. Andrew will attend Muscatine Community College in the fall majoring in Agriculture Business and plans to continue to grow his sheep flock while in college. Andrew has been an outstanding leader in our FFA Chapter and has a bright future in the Agriculture Industry.
