The students of the 9th Grade Academy at Muscatine High School recently worked together in class to make tie-blankets for some of the residents at Bickford Senior Living. On Friday, December 8 they hand-delivered the blankets to Bickford. The students had a chance to meet and interact with some of the residents while delivering the blankets.

The Academy is part of a teen outreach program in Muscatine. The program requires 20 hours of community service learning hours throughout the semester and the tie-blanket project counts towards their service learning hours.
