By Friends of Greenwood Cemetery

The Friends of Greenwood Cemetery would like to share an update on our fund-raising toward our project of rehabilitating the Greenwood Cemetery steps. As of August 24, we have raised $3,297 toward our anonymous donor’s pledge of $4,000, leaving  $703 yet to be raised. To receive our matching grant of $19,000 from the Roy J Carver Charitable Trust, we still need $1,333. In short, we need raise a total of $2,036 by August 31 so the City of Muscatine will let us begin on our project. By working together, we can make this happen. We have sold 620 bricks and would like to sell 380 more. This is a sample brick; you can put any wording that you might want on it. Hayes & Muscatine High Schools: you might want a brick in memory of your class. Please help us raise this money. For questions contact Bob Bromwell at 563-299-0720 or rbromwell@machlink.com.
