Gage and Jimmy Kent represented the Kent Corporation at the Made in America product showcase at the White House on July 23rd, 2018. President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence invited the Muscatine, Iowa, based company to join in celebrating the importance of manufacturing, economic growth, and jobs for American workers.
Kent Corporation, a privately-owned company, employs nearly 2,000 people throughout its twenty-three locations across thirteen states. Kent Corporation’s family of companies includes Kent Nutrition Group, Grain Processing Corporation, Kent Pet Group, and Kent Precision Foods Group, serving customers in the U.S. and globally in over sixty countries.
Kent brand feed constitutes one of the animal nutrition master brands produced by Kent Nutrition Group (KNG), a leading manufacturer of quality feeds throughout the Midwest and eastern regions of the United States. KNG delivers the highest quality animal nutrition based on a long-standing tradition of progressive innovation and dedication to livestock, equine, and pet owners. KNG makes up one division of Kent Corporation, a family-owned, American company founded in Iowa in 1927. KNG formed to bring out the best in two highly successful regional feed brands — Kent in the midwest and Blue Seal in the east.
“The Kent brand has been providing research-driven, high-quality nutrition that sets industry standards for feeding America’s livestock for generations. When my grandfather started the company, he established a reputation for high-quality animal nutrition products that we continue today,” said Gage Kent, Chairman and CEO of Kent. “It is a proud moment for all of us at Kent to reflect back on ninety years of leadership in the industry and be asked to participate in today’s White House event representing both Iowa and agriculture.”
Kent alone represented the state of Iowa and an agricultural company at this year’s Made in America event. The event showcases companies from each of the fifty states and highlights their efforts and commitment to American-made goods.
