Vision Center, PC donated a Cubs-themed cake to the event.










On Friday, February 10, 2017, the Muscatine Muskie Booster Club put on the 27th annual Cake Auction. Local businesses and school organizations donated cakes for the live and silent auction. The Space Jam-themed pastries garnered over $30,000 by the end of the evening. The event also featured raffle drawings and quality basketball.

The Muskie girls team was tied with number 14-ranked Bettendorf at halftime. The Bulldogs had a big third quarter and were victorious by a score 57-46. The Muskie boys capped off the exciting evening with a 57-51 victory over the number 9-ranked Bulldogs. Muscatine standout Joe Wieskamp scored 31 points to push the Muskies to victory. Garrett Mueller added 12 points in the victory.

The Muskie girls will travel to Davenport North in regional play on February 18 at 7:00 p.m. The Muskie boys have earned a first-round bye and will host the winner of Lin-Mar and Iowa City High on February 24 at 7:00 p.m.

Sunrise River Gallery donated a sheet cake baked by Melissa Anderson. Along with the purchase of the cake, the winner received the matching original painting.
