Country music singer Adam Cunningham broke through on Season 13 of NBC’s “The Voice” with a sixth-place finish and a memorable performance in the finale. Adam’s high-energy stage presence and big, soulful, southern voice was a stand out on a season to remember. The Nashville based singer/songwriter is currently in the studio recording a new single and preparing for tour dates this spring and summer. Adam brings an entertaining performance to the stage, and delivers it with a rare vocal ability that can take a song and make it truly sing.

Adam and his family have made a lasting impact with people in Muscatine and surrounding communities with their musical talents making memorable moments whether that be singing at different churches or just hanging with family and friends at their annual 4th of July party at the Cunningham’s home in Grandview, Iowa. County fair board member Brian McKillip has known Cunningham and his family for over 30 years, with Cunningham’s parents singing at McKillip’s wedding.

McKillip stated that over the years he and his family did not see Cunningham as often as they once did, but when his family found out that Cunningham was going to compete on “The Voice” that was held last fall, “We all cheered with the rest of Cunningham’s fans across the nation as Cunningham chased his dreams”.

McKillip, being a Muscatine County Fair board member, has been involved with music acts in the past concerning the fair. However, the timing was not right for Cunningham to make it to the fair this year. The Fairboard really desired to bring Cunningham back to his home grounds.

After contacting Cunningham and his manager, Cunningham agreed to perform during the Weekend for the Fair fundraiser on June 2, as this date worked perfectly for the singer. Prior to Cunningham’s performance, there will be a live auction of donated items from area businesses and private donors, as well as ribeye sandwich dinners being served. Cunningham will perform approximately two hours after the auction, at 7:30 p.m.

“We’re super excited and honored to have Adam perform at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds on June 2nd,” McKillip stated.

Tickets for the event may be found online at eventbrite.com, or at the ticket office at the fairgrounds
