Langwood Adventure Day is set for Saturday, June 3 from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at Langwood Education Center. This free family event is geared toward youth ages 6 and up, but is sure to pique the interest in every member of the family. The activity stations will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A free lunch and raffle will take place from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The day will be packed full of activities, including the Langwood High Ropes Challenge Course, canoeing and kayaking, pond fishing, BB gun shooting, archery, atlatl spear throwing, flint knapping, nature hikes, and more. Participants can come anytime and do as many of the activities as they would like.
This event is being facilitated by Louisa County Conservation, Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge, Iowa DNR, Tri-Rivers Conservation Foundation, Izaak Walton League, and Louisa County 4H Shooting Sports Club.
