On Wednesday, December 14, seventh-grade students from Central Middle School participated in a culture fair.
Students set up tables around the auditorium with displays representing countries from around the world. The students had been researching their countries since mid-October.
In all, 52 students from the Honors ELA program spoke with visitors about 41 countries. Each student, or tour guide, had several features to showcase the cultures of their chosen country, including traditional food that had been prepared by the students themselves.
Visitors were treated to the flavors of several European countries, multiple Latin American countries, and countries in Africa.
Students were graded on their ability to display their knowledge of their country’s culture.
