Muscatine native Follows the music

Carl Sondrol graduated from Muscatine High School in 2000, matriculating through the University of Iowa to do what most thought he would do, which was something with computers. “I went to college and got my degree in computer science and minored in music,” Sondrol said. WRESTLING West Liberty sweeps Tipton quad: West Liberty made easy work of their opponents, winning each dual by 38 points or more at Tipton last week. Future UNI Panther grappler Bryce Esmoil won all three of his matches at the 195-pound level. Joe Kelly matched that performance at 152. West Liberty was victorious over Tipton 59-21, North Cedar 72-9 and Bellevue 66-18. Wilton grows at Lisbon: The Beavers defeated Central City 68-12 but lost to perennial power Lisbon 51-20. Muscatine wins two conference games

The Muskie boys basketball team had two big conference wins last week against Davenport North and Davenport Central. The Muskies have been road warriors to start off the Mississippi Athletic Conference action. Joe Wieskamp continued to ascend the all-time scoring record books with a 44-point, 25-rebound performance against North and followed up with 34 points and 12 rebounds. Teammate Jackson Foulk added 16 points against North and 8 against Central.
